Mile 19 // by Vincent DeLuca

“When you get to that 19-mile mark, and you know you got seven miles, and you think about that – man, that’s gonna haunt you, that’s gonna tear you down. But you got to put that aside, and just go. You gotta grind it out, cuz life ain’t nothing but a grind, man.”

Johnnie Jameson is a Legacy Runner, who just completed his 30th consecutive race in the L.A. Marathon. This Vietnam War veteran, who enjoys his work with the U.S. Postal Service because he gets the chance to serve others, finds healing in the power of running. His story is an inspiration.
